LGBTQ+ Inclusive Language with Dr Emily Meadows

Language to describe LGBTQ+ identities and issues changes rapidly, and can leave parents and guardians feeling underprepared to support the young people in their community.  This session offers an introduction to LGBTQ+ inclusive language from a practical perspective, and provides participants with foundational knowledge and skills to support LGBTQ+ people. We'll address pronouns, alternatives to common language exclusions, and what to do when you are stumped by a new LGBTQ+ term.
