Overview

Baoxing is a majestic region nestled in the heart of China's Giant Panda National Park! Located in the Sichuan Province, it is blessed with stunning mountainous area surrounded by towering peaks, lush forests, and sparkling rivers.

Students joining this trip will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural habitat of the iconic giant panda, an endangered species that calls this region home. They will learn about the "island issue" caused by habitat fragmentation, the biodiversity under the umbrella of the giant panda, and the identity transformation of local residents from "producers" to "protectors" after the establishment of the national park. They will see the ecological economic transformation under climate change, rural revitalization, biodiversity conservation, and empowerment of minority women, among other related issues.

Student will engage with local communities and contribute to conservation efforts that protect this incredible ecosystem, while being immersed in one of the picturesque villages in China.
