Students will take principled action by supporting the work of an NGO - Shining Star, providing quality mental health and enrichment for left behind children.
Shining Star addresses this issue by providing innovative extracurricular education programs that teach left behind children life skills, grit and resilience to overcome obstacles. Their curriculum is modelled after University of Pennsylvania professor and MacArthur genius grant recipient Dr. Angela Duckworth’s work that allows individuals to overcome challenges and achieve success and happiness in life.
