Overview

Set in Zhonglu, Tibetan Village is home to the largest, most diverse, and best-preserved collection of ancient watchtowers in China. This picturesque village is nestled in the heart of Danba County, Sichuan Province, China. Located in the eastern part of the Tibetan Plateau, Zhonglu is a breathtakingly beautiful region surrounded by towering mountains, lush forests, and sparkling rivers.

During the week, students will participate in the national-level traditional village preservation initiative, protecting the ancient watchtowers that have stood for a thousand years with youth power. Integrating the knowledge of the ancient watchtowers learned during village research, students will create an English documentary on the ancient watchtowers of this thousand-year-old traditional village, contributing to the protection and inheritance of the Himalayan towers and the national-level key cultural heritage.
