Lockers

Each student has their own locker. For primary students in Years 1-4, these are open-faced and located in the shared areas. For Years 5 and 6 and all secondary students, the lockers have doors. Used effectively, the intention of the lockers is to reduce the students’ bag weight throughout the day. Students are expected to provide a secure lock. All belongings should be placed in the locker. Students are responsible for any items of value they bring to school. Locker security can be improved by getting a good quality lock with a thick shackle (top part) that is around 6-8mm like the example of the American brand Master lock shown below. This stops the lockers being opened by rotating the latch when locked, which can happen with a lock that has a thin shackle.
