In this workshop, we will delve into the three fundamental aspects of the Service as Action (SAA) component in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).
The session begins with Understanding the Program’s Framework, where we will discuss the structure, objectives, and educational philosophy of the SAA component, aligning it with the overall goals of the IB MYP. Next, in Exploring Student & Parent Roles, we will focus on the crucial roles both students and their parents play in successful implementation of SAA, emphasizing how parental support can enhance student experiences. Lastly, Diving Into Service as Action will provide a practical look at the SAA process, including idea generation, project planning, and execution, highlighting the significance of these activities in student learning and personal development.
This workshop is designed to equip parents with the knowledge and skills to effectively guide and support their children through the enriching journey of Service as Action in the IB MYP.
