What lies ahead in Year 13: A Higher Education perspectiveDesigned exclusively for Year 12 parents only, HE Counsellors Susie Blomfield and Terence Man will give an overview on what lies ahead in the transition to Year 13 as they prepare for their future pathways, giving valuable time for Q and A at the end of the session.
Topics include:
- Reviewing Year 12 - the important role of research, compiling university lists, drafting university essays, the role of Year 12 mock results in the admissions process
- Developing a strong university application: academic profile, transcript, predicted grades, admissions test grades, admissions essays, extra curricular activities, super curricular activities, letters of recommendation
- Understanding implications of cost, scholarships and financial aid
- Exploring the benefits of a gap year
- A glimpse into the latest trends and developments on the HE landscape
